A citizen is someone who belongs to a group. When we think of American Citizens, we think of a group of people who follow a set of norms that we believe sets us apart. Here at Old Mill Elementary, our students are part of our school group and are our citizens. They follow our rules and we believe that helps set them apart from the crowd.

At Old Mill Elementary School, we expect our students to Lead Out Loud! To lead out loud our students have: Looking eyes, listening ears, calm bodies, nice words, and finished work.

This month, we will help emphasize the importance of citizenship and what it means here at Old Mill and beyond. Teachers will be on the lookout of those Lead Out Loud behaviors in our students as they are in the classroom. You can follow your child's progress in OTUS under your child's citizenship tab.

We are excited to see our student learn and grow as citizens! We are also excited to have a platform where we can monitor their growth. We are looking forward to another great year here at Old Mill Elementary.
